Description
My family and I took the Cape Cod Rail Trail from Harwich to the Salt Pond Visitor's Center in Eastham, and then back again. We stopped near the border between Brewster and Orleans at Namskaket Creek where there is a lovely view of the salt marsh on one side and this view of sumac and tall grasses to the other. This area was a rich fishing ground for the Wampanoag tribe in the area, and it also served as a way to get to the ocean from the bay. Photography by Brooke T Ryan.
