Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This wooden boardwalk, photographed in early Spring, winds through a deciduous forest.The boardwalk was constructed in 2008 and is part of Red Acre Woodland in Stow, Massachusetts, which is situated just inside the 495 beltway in the Greater Boston area. The Woodland is comprised of 196 acres and was acquired in 2002, the result of an agreement made between the Stow Conservation Trust and the Red Acre Foundation. Stow is a treasure trove of green space with plenty of conservation land and well-maintained hiking trails. The photo has been digitally enhanced for a glowing, almost painterly effect.
