Description
I photographed this maple tree seed while on a hike near where I live in Central New York state. I've always known these as "helicopters" because of the way they spin when they fall to the ground. I've made most of this image a very dark, chocolate brown with some light gray at the top. The delicate part of the seed is white where the light shines through. Photography by Brooke T Ryan.
