Artist's Description
Valentine's Day art of two hearts carved in wood next to each other; one painted red and one plain. I discovered these on the boardwalk to the beach in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The boardwalk was lovingly built and has since been painstaking rebuilt after coastal storms have periodically ravaged the area. Engraved planks - actually made of composite wood - purchased by individuals and families in the community comprise the boardwalk.
